چکیده
We show that multiplication complexities of n-term Karatsuba-Like formulae of GF (2)[x] (7 < n < 19) presented in the above paper can be further improved using the Chinese Remainder Theorem and the construction multiplication modulo (x−∞).

Obtaining more Karatsuba-like formulae over the binary field
The aim of this paper is to find more Karatsuba-like formulae for a fixed set of moduli polynomials in GF (2)[x]. To this end, a theoretical framework is established. We first generalize the division algorithm, and then present a generalized definition of the remainder of integer division. Finally, a previously generalized Chinese remainder theorem is used to achieve our initial goal. As a by-p...
متن کاملSynthesis Comparison of Karatsuba Multiplierusing Polynomial Multiplication, Vedic Multiplier and Classical Multiplier
In this paper, the authors have compared the efficiency of the Karatsuba multiplier using polynomial multiplication with the multiplier implementing Vedic mathematics formulae (sutras), specifically the Nikhilam sutra. The multipliers have been implemented using Spartan 2 xc2s200 pq208 FPGA device having speed grade of -6. The proposed Karatsuba multiplier has been found to have better efficien...
متن کاملImpact of Intel's New Instruction Sets on Software Implementation of GF(2)[x] Multiplication
PCLMULQDQ, a new instruction that supports GF(2)[x] multiplication, was introduced by Intel in 2010. This instruction brings dramatic change to software implementation of multiplication in GF(2m) fields. In this paper, we present improved Karatsuba formulae for multiplying two small binary polynomials, compare different strategies for PCLMULQDQbased multiplication in the five GF(2m) fields reco...
متن کاملImplementation of Karatsuba Algorithm Using Polynomial Multiplication
Abstract Efficiency in multiplication is very important in applications like signal processing, cryptosystems and coding theory. This paper presents the design of a fast multiplier using the Karatsuba algorithm to multiply two numbers using the technique of polynomial multiplication. The Karatsuba algorithm saves coefficient multiplications at the cost of extra additions as compared to the ordi...
متن کاملImproved method for finding optimal formulae for bilinear maps in a finite field
In 2012, Barbulescu, Detrey, Estibals and Zimmermann proposed a new framework to exhaustively search for optimal formulae for evaluating bilinear maps, such as Strassen or Karatsuba formulae. The main contribution of this work is a new criterion to aggressively prune useless branches in the exhaustive search, thus leading to the computation of new optimal formulae, in particular for the short p...
